SES Continuation

The work of the SES project was made freely available on its website for anyone to use. Organizations using this technology include:

• The Light Up the World Foundation (http://www.lutw.org), our nonprofit partner during the project, has programs in several countries.
• Ignite Innovations (http://www.igniteinnovations.com) was founded by four SES alums to manufacture solar-powered LED lights in India. It merged with a partner in India to form Cosmos Ignite Innovations (http://www.cosmosignite.com).
• Since the project, many other organizations have begun using this technology to bring affordable, clean lighting to those without electricity in the developing world. An overview of these efforts can be found at http://light.lbl.gov.
